Defective - Broke in less than 3 months

Disappeared 3 months after purchase. After receiving a lifetime limited warranty, I returned to my original packaging. Judging by the packaging, it is a "Jasco" product. GE has licensed Jasco to use its trademark, but you will contact Jasco for any warranties. According to Jasco's website, you must send in the product prepaid to make a warranty claim. So I consider this purchase a waste since I don't spend the money to return a $15 surge protector. Luckily the treadmill I had connected to it didn't appear to be damaged when it just exploded.
