TL:DR: This set offers an inexpensive and beautiful travel case for your 13" Macbooks. You get an extra feature that allows you to use it separately as a portfolio. The only downside is that the case is a bit bulky. This Case is stylish, with a nice gray binding and 'leather' style accents [To be clear, I don't think the handle or inserts are leather, but they don't feel terrible either, so for under $20 it's hard to complain.] Overall the look looks professional enough.I'm a lawyer by trade and don't think I'll have a problem bringing a case to court on my own.I wish however, the leather-style accents would look a little less cheap.This case gives you nice thick padding all around.The zipper is only on one end of the case, not the entire case, which helps keep it vo r to protect against spills and protect your laptop from damaging the zipper. This is a very nice design feature. I was also very impressed with how well this laptop sleeve fits my 2018 Macbook Air. When I pasted it, there were no slips or spaces. My laptop felt secure. [I can't say exactly what the other MacBooks are like, but 2016 and newer MacBook Pros imo have a very similar design to the 2018 MacBook Air. Another interesting feature is that this case has an integrated handle and a zipper on the side . So it can be used as a protective cover or as a carrying case for briefcases. The side zip pocket is large enough for a charger and a couple of keys. Since I always drive in the city, that was a big advantage for me. The trade-off between extra padding for protection and a briefcase-style design is that the case is quite bulky compared to other cases. I was more than happy to compromise for added functionality and protection, but if you're looking for something slim and thin I'd look at a different case. Overall I am very happy with my purchase.
