Command Strip Won't Hold Up

This is an overview of Command Outdoor replacement strips. I bought these strips to mount a 4 ounce Blink outdoor camera to the new vinyl siding in our garage. Command Strips are rated for loads up to 3 lbs. Two days ago I cleaned the area where I was going to attach the Blink camera mount with rubbing alcohol. I didn't mount the command bar to the wall on a lightweight Blink plastic mount. I then pressed the fastener against the vinyl siding and held it there for a minute to ensure a good bond between the fastener and the siding. Yesterday I attached the Blink camera to the bracket. The command bar seemed to hold everything securely in place. So far, so good. This morning I found the Command Strip almost completely detached from the vinyl siding, leaving the camera just a few steps from crashing onto the concrete below. But the side of the tape attached to the back of the camera mount stayed securely in place. Temperatures in our area ranged from about 59° to about 30° F between the time I attached the camera mount to the vinyl siding. , and the time I attached the camera to the mount. The tape is rated for temperatures from 15° to 125°F. I have used 3M Command products successfully for many years but failed this test.
