I couldn't stick it on our front door. That being said, I know our front door is not in "ideal" conditions. The door is exposed to the elements (no canopy over it to protect it from rain/ice/snow etc.). It is in full sun most of the day. The door is also varnished (old color but varnished). I always thought the command strips were high quality and if you follow the instructions they will work fine. No longer. I have used this outdoors at 20-30F within the operating temperature limits. At first it worked, my hanger worked. I cleaned the area thoroughly, let me undress for 2 hours (recommended 1 hour). It's time to use it. He got stuck and stayed in place! I left it overnight and the next day with no problems. By 24 hours later, the command bar completely failed and my item crashed.

I purchased Command Outdoor strips to glue my father's SMOOTH headstone to attach a cemetery wreath. I had trouble with flowers falling off the tombstone in windy weather as I couldn't bend the saddle cables at the right angle to keep them in place. I am a Queen Of Command Hook product but I am very dissatisfied with these strips. Not sure if this is an old product or if the quality is just getting worse from the company. Where I live I need suction cups to hang curtains. For some reason the suction didn't hold, so I bought a set of hooks and used them as curtain rod holders.
