Sunbeam electric blanket

I bought two defective Sunbeam electric blankets. I suspect all digitally controlled solar ray electric blankets are pretty much the same. Two other Sunbeam decks with legacy analog controls were satisfactory; one has served about 12 years, the other is still working. The blankets come with a 5 year warranty, which is pretty much useless unless the buyer lives in the US (or has a US mailing address) and is willing to pay the shipping costs to ship it back to Sunbeam. I bought my duvets in Canada so this guarantee is worthless. To summarize: two Sunbeam electric blankets that both failed in less than a year and which Sunbeam didn't want to deal with under warranty because I couldn't deliver the US mail. address. NOT RECOMMENDED.
