UPDATE (March 8th 2020): After sleeping on it for about 4 months I have a supplement. We have this with a Bought metal frame/bedstead I regret this and will be purchasing a traditional spring and frame as soon as finances allow The base we purchased has a large central support beam in the middle which ensures our mattress rests on it Place sits differently. At night it feels like driving uphill to snuggle up to my husband. I don't like it at all! I could also see that this was causing my mattress to have dents and uneven wear as we tend to sleep on either side of the central foundation beam.Also the base doesn't move as it doesn't have wheels like a bed frame.The mattress is still fantastic ish. I know I'll be much, much happier with traditional feathers! Don't buy these metal bases. Treat yourself to traditional feather blocks whenever possible! Initial review (January 2020): I received this mattress as a replacement for another memory foam mattress that I had for about 7 years. This one is different from mine. It's the perfect combination of softness and support. The memory foam I had before was very firm and while I liked it when you first went to bed it was like lying on a pallet of bricks with a blanket on top. It gets softer over time, but it was very difficult at the beginning. This mattress is nothing like this. This comes in handy the moment you go to bed. I was a little apprehensive about getting 10" since my previous mattress was 14", but that wasn't a problem. It opened to full height in about 30 minutes and there was absolutely no smell. We didn't follow the instructions and waited 48 hours. We slept on it for 5 hours after putting it on. We don't have another bed and we both had work in the morning so we didn't have a choice. For the price we are very happy with this mattress. We're all set on a price we probably won't get for more than a few years, but at less than $200 for a king-size mattress, we totally agree!
