I've been a LEGO fan almost my whole life. Despite being in my 30's I still get dizzy from buying a new Lego set but can't help but feel a little childish when I'm given an 8 to 12 year old set. Well, when I decided to get a new kit I wanted to challenge myself a little more (and spend a little more money too). I ended up on this set in part because I was a big fan of space exploration as a kid and my dad works for NASA. It was my name the whole time. I was very happy when it arrived. The box was quite large (if you know what I mean). I thought the instructions might be a bit complicated since this is a more professional kit, but the instructions were actually clear and very simple (even simpler than some of the other kits I've bought!). The finished product is just amazing! The detail inside and out is amazing! It is currently proudly displayed on my dresser. One note that wasn't clear to me is that the lander isn't actually attached to a base on the lunar surface. There are four holes that the landing legs rest in, but if I pick them up too quickly and carelessly, the lander could fly off the base. Of course, that's no reason to reject this set!
