A quick look at their website and they don't seem to be doing much. It was last updated 3 years ago. When it comes to recycling, there aren't many recyclable alkaline batteries out there. This is not the same as recycling single-ingredient items such as aluminum cans. In their copy, they point out that the batteries do not contain any substances that are harmful to the environment. And they also state on their website that shipping batteries has a carbon footprint. Sorting, transporting, separating and cleaning different materials has a carbon footprint. In fact, it can be worse for the environment. These marketing strategies may be common, but that doesn't make them acceptable. GoGreen batteries deserve the "shameful discharge". degradation.
