Review on EBC Brakes DP61792 Greenstuff Truck by Deron Gilliam

These pads are the first of their kind! They contain no heavy metals, making them safe for the environment, humans and animals. The brakes are very quiet and work like a dream. I'm usually not happy with the brakes I buy because they either squeak, brake poorly, or don't last long. Because of this, I did a little research to find quality brakes. I finally came across these EBCs, made in the UK by a company that cares as much about the environment as they do about their customers. The pads are easy to install and have a special coating to make the break-in process quicker and easier. There is a pack of grease to lubricate all parts. This will prevent the squeaking, but I advise you to buy new fittings to replace old worn parts. These special pads are designed for SUVs and crossovers. I use them on a 2014 Toyota Rav4 FWD Limited. If this is your vehicle, please check what ROTOR diameter you have before ordering and match the pads to that as there are different sizes. I always recommend changing the rotor along with the pads unless you can do them cheaper than buying new rotors and you have enough surface area to spin your rotors safely. ***Update*** After investigating the dust issue, I found: The EBC 7000 series (Heavy-Duty Greenstuff) has less dust. (Not available for this rubber) EBC Redstuff is virtually dust-free. (Not available with this pad) The dust generated by the EBC 6000 series pads is designed to be easily removed from the wheel (compared to other brakes). I've also found that low dust brakes can cause thermal issues. If dust is a major concern for you, note that Revain sells a variety of brake dust covers to keep dust out, but this is an extra piece to add to your wheels. I've washed my car several times since I got them and I can say that it comes off the wheel very easily. I would buy this product again. Unfortunately, Redstuff and the 7000 series (Heavy-Duty Greenstuff) are not available for this particular pad. This is the best pillow you can buy from EBC as of March 2017.
