I was trying to save money and buy a clone instead of original equipment, $30 and next day versus $180 and wait a week. The installation was poor, the lugs that align the case to the cylinder block broke and caused a poor fit on the cylinder block, but I installed and left that alone. After every ride I could smell antifreeze but didn't notice any leaks. Eventually, after 6 months of use, the LR3 overheated and several hoses ruptured. After removing the cheap thermostat housing, I found that the gaskets or housing in the water pump and engine block had melted, causing the truck to overheat.
