Good tool good price
I have had no problems with this tool. If others have trouble damaging it, send it back and get a new one. At $10 it costs VS $25 for the alternative. There's also no reason it should cost $25. Also note that the filter housing has a torque rating of 25 Nm2 and the filter plug is 19 Nm2, DO NOT over tighten - the tightening torque is marked on the filter housing. Always use the Toyota specs and you should be fine.
