Background: Well I've been using makeup for about 15 years and I've never been able to find anything that captures all of the makeup. away. Yes, I just turned 30 and everywhere I turn I read that make-up remover wipes can be very aggressive on my skin as it loses its elasticity. Not wanting to be dramatic but I've noticed major changes in my skin over the past 3 years, especially on my face (sunspots) and I've been in denial until now. That's why I like to use micellar water. But after removing makeup, a clean cotton pad and water on my face, the pad turns brownish because it doesn't really clean my face or makeup! So I stumbled across this on one of the routine Korean YouTubers. First thoughts: Nicely packaged! Like something you would pull off the shelf at Sephora. No offense Revane, but you never know what package awaits you. As soon as I opened the jar, I smelled it because, you know. I'm going to smear this all over my face. I would say it's as close to odorless as you can get. If I MUST associate it with a scent, would I perhaps call it a very, very understated waxy citrus? I don't smell it on my face after washing and I don't smell it while using it. The texture feels waxy but feels like super thick petroleum jelly. It glides beautifully and feels light on my skin. It didn't feel tacky or boxy in any way. It was like massaging my face with silky smooth oil lol AND WOW! Unlike ALL other makeup removers, this actually removes waterproof mascara! I love it mostly because it really annoys me that I'm trying so hard to get this mascara off and just can't no matter how hard I try. I wiped my eyelashes with a napkin and nothing! Nada! No mascara residue! Concerns: rub it in my eyes to remove eye makeup. I was very concerned about burning or any kind of irritation. Amazingly, I didn't experience anything. For the record, I rubbed this stuff in my eyes really really hard to melt the mascara (it worked), so I fully expected irritation, but there wasn't. Neither during nor after rinsing. Prices. At first I thought that this product has a high price. But the Neutrogena makeup wipes I've used before are $17 for two packs and I use them up so quickly. This jar is actually a lot bigger than I expected and it takes very little product to really remove all of my makeup. So I assume it will take at least a few months. For the price per volume of the product I would say this is a good buy. Sensitive skin. My skin can be very picky. Definitely combination skin. It's very oily in some places, dry in others, but generally not prone to breakouts outside of the hormonal period of the month. My skin gets irritated very easily and isn't afraid to show it. Blushes very easily. After the first use, after washing, the skin became moisturized and clean. A big change from the wipes I've used before. I will update as I use for any changes! Happy washing!
