I bought this because my neck hurt from sitting at my desk to look directly at the monitor. Now I can slide it out and put myself in my Lean back chair. my chair is tilted slightly down with it or I sit comfortably with the screen at eye level. My neck pain is completely gone. Also because the armrests are all metal. also slides out easily when I need more space. I have a VR and it's easy to shove it aside to avoid mishaps as is putting it back in. I even have two of these, one on a stand by the bed for a smaller 1st Asus monitor I use to youtube -Watching videos in bed. I can slide it across the bed to watch while reclined or lying down. Another sits on my desk with a 32" LG that's a little more than the maximum weight weighs. It weighs about 22 pounds and holds it well. You need to increase the tension with the Allen key on the large monitor arm. Thing is, you don't feel much tension when tightening it, so it may seem like you're not tightening it, but the shoulder resists the downward pressure more. However, it gets the job done and is holding up well after a few months of use. I can move it up and down at will, but the way I use it I left the one on the table at maximum height and the one by the bed I move up and down to get a better look at it. I didn't use clamps, instead I drilled a hole in the surface of my table and used the mounting sleeve. It's very durable and won't slip. Very happy with it after a few months of use.
