I am very happy with this multi-region DVD player. I've been using it for a few weeks and so far it has played all my DVDs no matter what region they are from. I don't have to switch manually, the player detects the region itself and plays it automatically. So far this has worked very well. I see a lot of criticism for the lack of a "menu" button on the remote, but my remote has one. My only complaint is that if I stop the DVD in the middle of a program, for example, when I want to reinstall the DVD and watch from the beginning, I haven't found a quick way to get there. It may be my fault, not the player's. I will keep working on that. I didn't find any reference to this in the instructions, which by the way are in very small print - you have to use a magnifying glass to read them clearly. So, I think that's 2 complaints, but overall I'm very happy with this purchase.
