My son wanted this for me. He set it up for me. If the house doesn't collapse, I won't collapse either. This handrail is as strong as a rock. I think loops are a very good idea. It makes it a little less slick, just enough to be a tad more secure, and it's worth the small difference in price. It didn't take long for my son to install it and he had no problems with it. The installation went very smoothly. I actually feel better getting in and out of the shower and moving while holding this plank.
