It is durable and looks great in our bathroom with brass colored fixtures. I was able to screw it into a bobby pin and it's strong. Since my cleats are about 16 inches apart, I had to set them at an angle, which actually works well since different people may need to hold them in different places. It really solved our need when our elderly relative needed this handlebar support to get up from the toilet.

Well made handle. Looks good in its simplicity. But screw caps can be annoying. First, they slide when installed, so I recommend taping them in the middle of the pole, especially if you're installing vertically. The interface between this cap and the barrel itself has no seal or gasket. So you have to caulk both the cover and wall connection as well as the gap between cover and board.

My son wanted this for me. He set it up for me. If the house doesn't collapse, I won't collapse either. This handrail is as strong as a rock. I think loops are a very good idea. It makes it a little less slick, just enough to be a tad more secure, and it's worth the small difference in price. It didn't take long for my son to install it and he had no problems with it. The perfect shower product for my 89 year old parents. The price is much better than the big stores. If you or your builder didn't carefully add a few helpers when building your shower walls, do yourself a favor and use some Moen rail anchors (you'll need two boxes). They're a bit pricey but do the job. The chances of hitting a spike dead spot aren't that great unless you drill lots of test holes to make sure your spike finder actually found the spike.
