The shelf arrived in a box that looked like it had quivered in a giant's pocket for a month or two. This was mainly due to the fact that it came in a box thick enough to hold its height and about 6 inches wide. Oh, and did I mention there was no packaging material? Right, none. There's not even a cardboard form to take up extra space. Because of this, the shelf was scratched and slightly bent in places. However, I tried to install it. The damage made the shelf look ugly, but I was really tired of pulling my computer out of the rack every time I needed to plug or unplug something. The instructions consisted of a parts diagram folded into a bag of screws. I wouldn't normally complain as I'm pretty good at putting things together. However, the slide rails had to be disassembled to gain access to all of the screw holes needed to attach to the shelf and brackets. I'm not too proud of not being able to disassemble the sliders but figured I'd install them with 2 out of 4 screws first and then call support. The two screws on each side pointed toward the front of the shelf, but the second was almost halfway to the back, so I think it would have held up for a while. So I collect things together and. It does not fit. I tried installing it in both configurations shown in the diagram, one was too wide, the other too narrow. So I got a bit frustrated at this point and "adjusted" it. To my surprise, it did. So I tightened the mounting screws and tugged. She was so tight she didn't move. So I'm sending it back.
