The lamp didn't work when I first put it in. Checked the battery and it works. I checked the polarity with a multimeter on the connector, it turned out the opposite. I unplugged and swapped the wires and the light worked. I assume most people who take surveys with the lights off have this problem. It would be nice if the light had a diode bridge to make it polarity independent, but it's a cheap light, what do you expect? The light shines bright enough. I really wish it didn't flash as much as it does now, but I'm not the one looking at it, so.
