Review on 🛡️ McDavid HEX Chest Protector: Ultimate Sternum Protection Padded Shirt for Baseball, Football, Lacrosse & Goalies - Youth and Adult Sizes by Benjamin Robinson

My 13 year old daughter has been wearing this shirt for about 6 months. The first weekend she wore it, a teammate (a fast pitcher) was hit in the chest. Super scary and luckily she was fine. The girls mom texted me later and asked for the shirt! I had no problem with her wearing it, especially after the incident. And the girls, who probably have a sports bra under their butt, had no complaints of itching in the middle. But if you compare the picture on the Revain and on my t-shirt, the heart coverage area isn't that big and we only have Youth XL. I read another review that said they used the same padding width for adult XL as for child sizes?!?! I went back to buy another one as she has several away tournaments ahead of me and I don't want to worry about what we have. I'm considering upgrading to Adult Small and hope the coverage area will increase proportionately. Size wise - she's 5ft 4in, 111# tall, has a slim build and the YXL fits snug enough not to be bulky, but not too small either. In addition, the collar is quite high. They have V-neck leotards and I managed to sew the collar inside so it wasn't as visible, but she still wasn't thrilled with how much it poked out of the neckline. Washes well, air dry.
