The sound quality is ideal for listeners of metal, rock, and any other genre. These were louder and had a better sound quality than my last pair of headphones, the Sony MDR-EX310LP. In favor are: The sound is full, robust, and audible 1. (compared to the same Sony MDR-EX310LP). The low end is nicely done. If you're into heavy metal or rock, give them a spin. The headphones come with a carrying case and detachable ear cushions. Contains drawbacks: 1. Compared to the Sony MDR-EX310LP, they are worse (for me personally) in the ear. Drop it. Two: the gear is inferior to Sony's MDR-EX310LP a third, clumsy L-shaped plug. That causes problems, especially if the player is on the small side. 4. There is no cord winder plug (not critical)
