First of all, it is bulky, takes up three times more space in the refrigerator and no longer fits on the door where oil is usually stored. The picture doesn't show how long the handle actually is when you first place the butter stick - it's just as long if not longer than the length of the body. Second, because the oil is chilled, it is solid and requires little pressure to force it through a very small slit. Third, it keeps pushing oil out after you're done, so you have to unscrew it to release the pressure. I regret the purchase, more trouble with oil than without.
