I made the original and have used it reliably for more than ten years. The middle screw eventually came loose and I fixed it and it worked fine for years. I love this grinder. You can store butter in the fridge and only take it out when you need it, not just before heating it. It turns out thin enough to spread well on toast or anything hot.
