These lights really do feel like they will stand the test of time based on .

I give 3 stars even though the product had to be returned. Good quality, not flimsy and not cheap. I bought these to hang in my garden and wanted to spend enough to get something that would last for many years. These lights really do feel like they will stand the test of time given how solidly built they are. You look great too. I was disappointed that I had to send them back. I purchased the 100ft variant of the product. After screwing in all the bulbs and trying to turn them on, they worked. (We have 200 amps in our house so our electricians can handle almost anything.) We've tried different outlets and the same thing happens. We went and bought a dimmer hoping that turning the lights down to the bare minimum would fix the problem. It's not like this. The lights blew the dimmer switch to the point where it broke - we could hear the plastic rumble in the dimmer afterwards. As a last try, we connected the lamps to a Belkin line filter. He blew the surge protector to the point where the switch on the protector almost physically blew. At that point we decided that even if we could get it working temporarily, we didn't want to risk leaving it on while we were away. Maybe 100ft is the problem - maybe a shorter version of the product won't work. Or maybe my device was just defective. In any case, the seller accepted my return request quickly and easily. If you like these lights, you can try them. Seller has US contact information. So if you have any concerns about power, you can call customer service before you buy to see if your electric amps can handle lighting. They look really pretty and I wish they would work for me.
