Review on 🔍 Enhanced 1090MHz Antenna: onelinkmore MCX Plug Connector 2.5dbi Gains ADS-B Aerial with Magnet Base & RG174 1M Cable + MCX Female to SMA Male Adapter by Alex Jones

I feed a number of ADS-B monitoring sites. When I replaced the standard short RTL-SDR antenna with this one, I was amazed to find that it picked up almost twice as many aircraft, including some in the 200 nautical mile ring. And the location of my antenna is anything but ideal - it's on the window sill in the room. This was surprising given that this antenna is significantly longer than the original antenna and some have suggested that the length of the original antenna actually needs to be shortened to achieve optimal frequency response. Perhaps this longer antenna has a larger cross-sectional area, to capture 1090MHz signals. Regardless of the theory behind it, this antenna "just works fine" for ADS-B. Honestly I bought this antenna to experiment thinking I would have an extra socket and connector. Once installed, I see no need for further experimentation.
