The large pages of this book made it much easier to fit everything I wanted on each page without being cumbersome. The book is designed to last. The cover is washable, but there is also a plastic cover that can be left on or removed for extra protection. We added a few extra pages, and while it's not easy, it wasn't a huge task. Depending on how many pages you want to add, you may need two people to add them correctly. The finished product was great and my mom (it was made for her) loved it. The variety of colors is also impressive.
