We have a single hose installation so the shower head can be left hanging from the top of the mounting bracket or removed and used by hand. So right after installation I turned on cold water and put the shower head on the shower drain to see how the on/off switch worked and it worked fine. The water was shut off and when the small amount of water in the head passed the switch and flowed out, there was no water left. NOBODY. There is no constant flow or dripping as others have reported in their reviews. We read the reviews before purchasing and were a bit worried after reading about faulty switches and heads falling apart, but our shower head is perfect. The switch will continue to function as described. We bought it for use in our RV with a 10 gallon water heater. We wanted the shower head to turn off so we didn't have to use the shower faucet, which in our case is a large single handle almost the size of a baseball that works exactly like a joystick and isn't easy to adjust. With this new shower head we can easily turn the shower head on and off while getting almost no change in water temperature and wasting hot water trying to adjust the temperature which we had to do when the water was turned off with the main control. A bonus is that my wife or I can turn off the water in the shower head so whoever showers next can just turn it back on with the shower head switch while showering. Of course, that means within 5 minutes or so, without long waits between showers. So far so good, although we've only had it a month, we're happy with it. It's guaranteed for a year and if it fails after that we'll buy it again. If it fails in less than a year, we will contact the company for a replacement. We were able to pick it up for just over $10 before tax, so it was a really good deal for the convenience it affords us.
