I ordered this vacuum bag for a 9 inch memory foam mattress. The material feels solid and thick. Of course, I would like a thicker plastic, but this product is suitable for the application. Easy to use, I just put it on the mattress. Roomy enough to fit into a queen size there was plenty of room. I've zipped it up twice with the valve cover facing up and sitting on top of the mattress instead of next to it. I used a shop vacuum with a hose and started pumping air out. Once the plastic had shrunk around the mattress, I began to carefully walk vertically and horizontally, squeezing the air while the vacuum slightly compressed the mattress to about 2 inches. I folded the excess plastic inward and rolled up the mattress bag for storage. Tie the straps with the handles facing up. It was one person's work, but two people could have worked faster. Only time will tell if the pouch stays compressed. Based on this review, I would recommend this product to anyone moving, storing, or even shipping their memory foam mattress. Perhaps this product is a practical and compact solution for your application.
