I wanted to have something in the living room that would allow me to use my laptop on the table top. I chose this cart mainly based on the reviews I read on Wayfair.com as most of these types of laptop carts have low ratings (in this price range). I think the only thing I saw on Wayfair for the same table (which I liked) was their comment that it was a commercial force. Well, here's my take: the spreadsheet works for my needs, but it's by no means high quality. My husband had no trouble assembling it for me but the end cap is missing and there is a small dent in the stand. It doesn't really matter to me so I won't complain about it, but it didn't come in pristine condition. The surfaces are fine - no scratches, no dents, no problems. Setting up a table is not easy. I have the lowest setting, which is normal when sitting on a couch or chair and pulling a table next to me. The table that the laptop sits on is tilted down, which is nice. (You can also mount it flush with an end table if you don't need a tilt.) You can flip the table over if you're left-handed as it has a stopper at the bottom on either side. I tried lifting it up but you have to remove the side handles completely and you can only move it up to a certain point and that level didn't work for me when I was sitting. I want to raise it a bit from the lowest position. What I also don't like is that you can't just fold up the laptop drawer and leave the side table in the lowest position. I would like that option as it would be nice to have the laptop table higher but leave the side table lower for mouse, papers etc. Ultimately I'm glad I have it as it's much better and more ergonomic then a laptop on my lap or on a coffee table and I lean over to type. It seems strong enough for my needs. For $37 you just can't expect quality furniture. Just know that you get what you pay for. If all you want is the bare minimum you can use on your laptop, I think that's fine. I would probably buy it again as it has made it so much easier for me to work in other rooms in the house away from my home office. That. I love it! It is very well preserved and remains durable and very functional. I have placed it on the sofa (in my living room) from different chairs and find it comfortable no matter where I sit. I would definitely buy it again!
