First ice maker ordered and lasted 1-2 days. It worked this time and has dispensed ice with no problems so far. The ice machine itself is fairly easy to install. Unscrew one screw on the back of the device at the bottom right of the electrical connection cover (remove cover), press the tab at the bottom left, disconnect the electrical connection and it is disconnected. Install in reverse order. You will also need to reattach the old heater cover to the bottom of the unit. Three screws, not big. Do this before installing. There were no instructions. REALLY NO INSTRUCTIONS?! (Customer service from some of these third parties leaves a lot to be desired, although this company made the exchange quickly.) Had to go downstairs after watching a few YouTube videos. If it lasts a few years, it's worth it.
