I replaced the ice maker and it worked right away. I gave 4 stars for easy installation because the part where the water goes was not the same as the original, it was larger than the original. I had to disassemble the ice maker and use the old part. After that, installation was easy. The instructions say it will take 24 hours for the ice machine to start making ice, but it took about three hours. For the price I think it's good value at $70 + tax. Big savings if you install it yourself.

This replacement was easily purchased and installed. It smelled strongly of chemicals from the start. They made ice cream but the freezer smelled awful from day one. First ice maker ordered and lasted 1-2 days. It worked this time and has dispensed ice with no problems so far. The ice machine itself is fairly easy to install. Unscrew one screw on the back of the device at the bottom right of the electrical connection cover (remove cover), press the tab at the bottom left, disconnect the electrical connection and it is disconnected.
