This turned out to be a kitchen gadget I didn't know I needed. I love kitchenware and until recently I didn't realize how much of a collector I am. It fit my budget so I bought it immediately. This device is easy to clean, very durable (it's a twist and lock method) and small enough not to take up much space in the fridge. I put the unused part of the tomato inside. up or down and haven't noticed any difference in freshness so it doesn't matter how you store it. It's both functional and useful.
