Review on 🐠 SeaChem Tidal 55 Gallon (200 Liters) Large Fish Tank Filter - Sicce Brand by Lynn Hans

This HOB filter is by far the best on the market. So many great, well thought out features and a nice solid build. The two main advantages are the surface suction function and the placement of the submersible pump. If the pump is below the waterline in the tank, the pump is "self-priming" or, more accurately, does not need to be primed. But it's all the little things that really show how thoughtful the design is: a slanted rim stand that allows you to sit stably on any size rim or trimmer, a label on the end of the power cord with a plug, a heater mount, a lid that doubles as a media basket tray, quality adjustment screw for alignment, no dedicated compartments in the filter basket - put whatever media you want in there. 3-year warranty plus 2 additional years upon product registration. Finally CALM. Sicce makes excellent pumps that work with minimal vibration. There are only three things I would like to improve: 1) The blue plastic jets look classy in the product photo but stand out dramatically in the tank, they should be all black. 2) The skiving surface can be more aggressive 3) The pump cover is too difficult to remove, especially when wet.
