Beautiful extractor hood - streamlined design makes cleaning easy, powerful fans direct enough air to keep the room from filling with smoke when cooking hamburgers and steaks in cast iron skillets over high heat . This is the third range hood I've tried and the first that really works. It came with a variety of mounting and mounting options and I think one or two would have worked, but instead I just used some long nuts and bolts and it worked great. I had to make a template out of newspaper to drill holes for the studs. The inclusion of a hooded pattern would have been a nice addition, but it was easy to make. Maybe three people could hold the hood and mark directly, but it was too heavy/uncomfortable for two people to reach the stove. The remote control works well but don't let children play with it. That backfired. I didn't weigh it, but it's a solid piece - solid stainless steel and heavy duty fan motors. This is what you need if you're serious about cooking, but make sure you set it up well, it's not flimsy and light!
