Keeping the Theme - Phones and Accessories

The vacation home we bought in Tennessee two years ago was built in 1949 and although it has just been renovated we wanted to keep most of it. This phone was perfect when we decided to install an emergency number. The ringtone is even similar to phones of the time, but while you have a choice of quiet or loud, it could have been louder. Hearing it on the phone is a bit muffled, but you know, I may have forgotten how bad it was "in the days" before cell phones existed. The phone gives you a choice of analog or impulse, but I don't think the analog option is any better, even for landline phones. However, the knob is stylized as a rotary control, which was fine since the rotary switch is used in the old analogue system. There are other "old fashioned" phones out there, but we wanted something closer to the original AT&T shield that I've clung to for over 35 years to find a place! So far the phone is working well and even has room for a modern, inexpensive digital answering machine (also bought from Revain).
