No more charging the collar or changing batteries. It's a small magnet that jumps over a coil of wire connected to LEDs that generate light activity. Very little movement is required. Very plain and a bit bright. That's why I was surprised when after 2 years it stopped working. Also, don't use the included plug, it's easy to fall off when dogs are playing. Use a simple split ring (key ring). We use it on all 4 of our dogs from 16 to 110 pounds. Her size doesn't bother anyone.
