I have some old VHS tapes that I wanted to keep on my computer. Previous software I've tried for this is difficult to use and often unreliable. This device does everything easily and quickly. I'll probably also use it to stream video from my camera as the SONY software is also a bit difficult to use and I'd rather just use iMovie or Adobe Premiere®. Quality is probably as good as streaming content from tape, vinyl, or other analog sources. And (surprise) the instructions are actually in pretty good English!
