Review on πŸ“± Rugged UAG Case for Microsoft Surface Pro 7 Plus/7/6/5/4 - Military Grade Protection, Aluminum Stand, Black by Carta Gutierrez

Great product but there are some compromises.

PRO: 1. A very rough feeling. Quality level MAGPUL.2. Solid adjustable stand design.3. The quality corresponds to the price. Disadvantages 1. Weight2. As others have said, unless you want to jailbreak your Surface Pro, removing it is a tedious job. In detail: I waited a while to write a review because I really didn't know how I felt when it arrived. I will join other reviewers in saying that what surprised me the most was the dramatic weight gain and loss of form factor. I almost didn't think I'd keep it for myself and thought about returning it because he transformed this flimsy machine into something chunkier and unwieldy. However, after a while I noticed that it's not that bad for my purposes. It (Surface Pro + Case + Type Cover) was much lighter than my Lenovo and actually still lighter than my wife's 2015 Macbook Pro. Sometimes it was annoying to take a device that had shrunk to the iPad form factor and then add a few ounces. But I have no regrets and left for one simple reason: I break things. I do. I have excuses: I'm in the military, I travel a lot, etc. I commute to work and need something I can throw in my bag and know it will handle the crush. I wish I could take better care of my electronics, but I don't always have the opportunity. This thing has withstood quite a bit of driving and pushing over the past few months and still looks brand new. Yes I wish it was lighter and sometimes it annoys me that I can't get the UAG stand to sit as well as the original and I have to take the cover off. But from day to day? I keep the case on 95% of the time and don't regret the purchase.

Pros
  • I like everything so far
Cons
