Water bowls for our dogs are installed in two different rooms, both rooms have natural wood floors. Our Yorkie (Ginger) had a pad for a small water bowl in the kitchen. And our Cane Corso (Dante) has a much larger water bowl currently sitting on an old Weather Tech cargo liner from a car we no longer own. The Cargoliner is quite large but perfect for catching water dripping from the mouth. As soon as Dante noticed that Ginger's bowl was being refilled more and more frequently, he began secretly drinking from her bowl. My dear wife continued to fill Dante's large bowl with water even after I told her he would only drink from it once until it was refilled. If you look at his bowl after drinking, you'll understand why. His bowl is usually full of drool and whatever falls out of his mouth after just one use. So I tried to convince my wife that we only have to pour an inch of water into his bowl when we fill it. But I guess she's not convinced yet. So I ordered this multipurpose tray to put Ginger under my water plate. It's big enough to hold whatever Dante leaves behind while drinking and does a great job of protecting hardwood floors. Now if only I can convince my wife that I'm right!
