The pole itself is quite good and very sturdy; However, the sideplates are much thinner than the proprietary product and actually flex laterally from straight all the time when you slide them onto the bike (2021 Electra Glide). Bend them back I guess, but I think a person leaning back on this product will crack the side panels over time. My advice, thicken these things up! The rod should flex a little, not the plates. This pole works great if you just attach some pole luggage to it. I need something over a hundred dollars.
