How much fun! The remote control is pretty cool and the lights can be changed to different colors and color combinations and alternately turned on or off. We've been using them for about a month, they work well. For example, to dim the lights in the bathroom at night so we don't have to turn on the brighter "real" lights. I see many uses for them - maybe a party, kids room, etc. Note - plug these into an outlet so you need to be able to connect from where they're hanging. I have had other battery operated brands/types and you have more freedom in placement. However, being near an outlet is great as I never have to change batteries.
