The USB got corrupted
The USB got corrupted after copying my files to the USB. When I first copied the files everything was fine and when I try the next day it says the USB drive is protected, I can't add or delete files to or from the USB drive. I tried all the ways to disable the protection, but unfortunately it doesn't work. Since there are files on the USB I can't get them back, I have no choice but to destroy them.
