2003 GMC Sierra Denali 1500

The best price I could find for my truck. I've started getting the Service 4WD message on my DIC. Then I would start my truck and find that it was in one of the 4WD modes. Checked the fuses and relays, tried the new dash switch, cleaned the floor under the driver's door, changed the gear oil in the front diff, replaced the actuator in the front diff. It was the last piece of the puzzle and she solved it. Do yourself a favor and remove the front driveshaft before starting the transfer case motor. I've tried removing it without removing the driveshaft, but there is one screw that cannot be removed without dropping the driveshaft. This T-case motor does not come with a new gasket but I figured mine wasn't in bad shape and it wasn't as you can see in the photo. I just cleaned it with glass cleaner. The little bag that came with the motor had 2 short bolts which makes no sense as 3 bolts hold it to the transfer case and the original bolts are much longer. I just wanted to use my original screws.
