Scratches my brand new iPad air 4 on the pencil slot

I have an Apple Pencil in a special pencil slot. The case squeezes the pencil so hard it scratches the side of my new iPad Air 4 which is 1 month old. It looks good, but the main designer's fault. Extremely disappointed. Now I have to live with big scratches on my brand new iPad's Apple Pencil Charger.
