I needed a way to inflate car tires that was more portable than my "hot dog" air compressor that I could keep in the car to keep tire pressure constant. I recently moved to the Midwest (ChicagoLand) from California. In California, I rarely had to check tire pressures until the tires stopped leaking. However, in the Midwest, the weather can produce literally 35F temperature swings in a single day! Because of this, I change my tire pressures quite often (I have quite a long commute to work) to keep everything at the right level. This little air compressor is just the ticket. It's fast, relatively quiet, compact and seems reasonably well made. Most impressive is the 3 year warranty. To me it shows that the company stands behind its products and not just cheap junk on the market. I would change some things. It would be nice if there was a way to connect it directly to the car battery. If there were a second power cord with alligator clips to attach to the bars, it could draw more current or be used remotely to inflate things when you're not in the car. The second thing I want to change is the way the hose attaches to the valve stem. It is threaded and screws onto the valve stem. The time it takes to detach the tube allows air to escape from the tire that has just been inflated. It would be better with a quick release chuck like my AstroAI gauge. What else I really appreciate is the built in fuse and that it uses a car fuse (easy to find, often in a car). Disclosure: I received this device for evaluation as part of a promotion I received for purchasing an AstroAI tire pressure gauge (which I really like).
