John Deere Riding Mower Front Tire 🚜 Assembly - MARASTAR 15x6.00-6, Turf Saver Tread Replacement Review

In the last 7 years I have had to change the front tires on my John Deere tractor twice due to wear. Changing tires at a John Deere dealership is expensive. The last time they changed tires I had a slow leak in one. I thought I'd try these tires and rims as an alternative. They look the same and come with multiple spacers which is very handy. I've been using it for a few months with no problems. I am very comfortable.

The wheels fit the front of my John Deere LX277 and are easy to fit. Spacers included so everything you need was included. A note though. The new wheels do not have the wheel bearings found in the bores on my original John Deere wheels. However, the wheels have internal grease fittings. Also, only time will tell if these tires will last. My experience is that Chinese tires dry out after a few years. I keep my original Deere wheels (because of the bearings) and re-tire them if those wheels don't

If you don't have the tools to change a tire on a rim, this option is a safe way to do the job yourself. The tire is delivered fully assembled and inflated. Simply remove the old hub cap, remove the locking ring and remove the rim and two washers from the axle. Slide one of the supplied washers onto the axle, then the new tire and the remaining washer. In general, I was happy when I first received this combination of wheels and tires. The color was correct and there were extra clips and washers in case you lose yours. Everything went smoothly with my JD. Then I went to oiling and it all went downhill from there. The hub seam wasn't completely filled, so when trying to add grease it just went in the wrong place.
