The 24-bit/96kHz DAC sounds good on paper, but this audio format muffles the sound to the limit. The bass sounds awful, worse than $10 headphones if they exist. This may sound good at first, but enable Windows Sonic for Headphones and enable 7.1 Surround Sound in Control Panel in Headphones Properties. The default audio format is 16bit/48kHz, but this does not affect the audio output. Turn up the volume and the headphones sound amazing like I'm listening to a brand new pair. Turn on 7.1 surround sound on your headphones, but press the button to turn on clear high-pitched sounds, otherwise the audio will be muffled. In games, the volume is slightly reduced, but if you prefer a much cleaner sound than a loud volume, then this setting is perfect for you. I listen to these headphones in the middle of the night so I don't need a lot of volume. I wanted to sell these headphones as I already had a Creative Sound Blaster x Katana. But after some tricks with the sound settings, he changed his mind.
