I'm a big Sorel fan and I still have a few pairs in size 5 (women's size 7). The Whitney II is noticeably more snug so I removed the insoles and they are much better. They have also stretched a bit over time and I can now wear them with pads. They're still a little tight, but the thickness of the insoles makes the boots incredibly comfortable, almost like slippers. I would hesitate to use them in mud and mud because of the light color but they are perfect for the cold. temperatures and light rain/snow. The traction is also very good for icier conditions, which my duck boots can't handle either. Also, they're almost half the price of the women's version, so overall they fit me.
