It is very well made and works great. The overall length was perfect, the top plug/gasket on top fitted perfectly and it's a great tool that worked perfectly and generated 45psi when I primed my SBC engine 8" lower on the primer shaft than the actual distributor shaft. So I had to modify it to raise the piston to line up with the distributor shaft (on an 84 foot engine) .Washers that would fit the shaft and still give the required clearance in the sidewall. So I removed the snap rings from the tool shaft, removed the plug and then measured 5/8" to the end of the 12 point 13mm -Rifle. I then cut the end of the socket to 5/8" to use as a spacer under the plug to raise the plug on the shank to fit snugly in the profile of the HEI header I'm using. Then I used a small tube.Clip that fits on the shaft and place it just above the shaft to prevent the shaft from slipping on the shaft during use (originally there is a locking ring just above the shaft holding it in place, to prevent slipping. But since I moved the plug 5/8" from the original IRS position, the snap ring groove is now hidden behind the center of the plug. If you had a lathe you could easily add another snap ring groove in the new position on the shaft but I don't have a lathe so instead of a retaining ring I just used a hose clamp attached to the shaft as no real pressure is exercised on it. It's really just to keep the bullet from ricocheting while the wave is running.) Hope this helps someone. Having said that, I would definitely recommend it to anyone who needs a good oil filling tool. It's really worth it.
