Review on High-Performance ACDelco Gold 17D834CH Ceramic Rear Disc Brake Pad Set: Ultimate Braking Power and Durability by Jorge Kumar

Not the Best Choice

I have had these rear brake pads for 23 months or about 20,000 miles on a 2002 Tahoe LT 4WD. About a year later, they began pulsing in conjunction with Delco's Advantage AC rotors, which were replaced at the same time. The vibration has gotten much worse in the last 6 months. Overall, I have come to the conclusion that these pads wear out too quickly and generate more brake dust than OE quality AC Delco pads. Sure, they're cheaper, but they're not worth it in the long run. In comparison, my OE quality pads and rotors lasted 100,000 miles and didn't pulse at all. Lesson learned. Spend a little more money on Delco's higher quality range of genuine AC parts and you won't regret it.
