These lights worked well. These lamps had the highest efficiency (lumens/watt) of any lamp I tested, although they didn't offer the most lumens per dollar of cost. These lamps are your best choice if you have ceilings over 8 feet. because they allow you to direct the light where you need it. 8-inch recessed LED downlights work best in 8-foot ceilings, but their plant-level light output drops drastically when mounted much higher because they have such a wide beam angle. Overall I give these lights 4 stars for their high efficiency and ability to direct the light. They are not as easy to install as 8 inch downlights. 8" recessed lights can be plugged into a single outlet to power up to 2 sets of 4 lights (64 feet total). With these lights you will need 8 times as many power lines/sockets which can be costly and time consuming as you have to install them in an 8 x 8 foot grid to get good lighting. Or use the rule of thumb for at least one fixture per 85 square feet.
